My husband and I have always dreamed of traveling and living abroad. The United States is comfortable but materialistic and work oriented. There is so much more to life we want to experience. My children are 22 and 25 and have independent lives. We decided it was time for us to focus on our lives while we still have the good health to enjoy our days. After watching over 100 YouTube travel videos, including Your Pura Vida we chose Costa Rica as our destination. Our children are a short flight away. The country is developed and comfortable. We made our decision! Now how to proceed with the logistics? We discovered Your Pura Vida on Youtube. We knew we wanted to retire away from the USA and Canada proved to be too complicated with no long term guarantees of long-term living arrangements. We were drawn to the Central Valley because we aren't fond of weather that is too hot — which eliminated beach communities.
